Kecak Dance - Hindu epic Ramayana

The Kecak dance is one of the most famous of Balinese dances. It is unusual because it has no musical accompaniment like many other Indonesian dances do, the pace of dance from the song "monkey" at the same time. Instead, a pwersa more than 150-Chested naked men serve as chorus, a cacophony of wonderful dubbed "Chak-achak-achak" click sounds, while rolling their bodies and their hands. From songs, that noise from "Cak-CAK - CAK", and then Kecak dance was her name.

What a Kecak dance so attractive to watch are the fifty men in checkered pants. Both the choir and goods, music and history with a series of faithful singing chants that changes in the status of players. Can not sit still, either, wave their arms to simulate fire, and reposition them around the stage to represent air and fire, prison cells, and invisible hands in protection from God.

The dance is played on five tasks and lasts about 45 minutes. This is from the Hindu epic Ramayana, which tells the story of Prince Rama and Princess Sita rescue of that kidnapped by the evil king of Lanka, Rahwana and any use of the white monkey army, Rama saves his wife and defeats evil Rahwana.

Kecak participate in a story should be on every visitor to Bali. This is a great experience, and a window on musical and artistic culture, the Balinese a special person.
