Belly Dance Festival 2010 will be Held in Bali

Bali to host the Belly Dance Asian Festival 2010. The festival is scheduled to take place February 25 to 28 coming in the Ayodya Resort, Nusa Dua tourist area.

Felix Rusli, one of the committee's activities, in a press release explaining Bali as one of the cultural centers in Indonesia have the honor to host a meaningful cultural exchange such as Asia.

"This festival is a series of activities from belly dance that is very global. The belly dancers as Asia will gather, conduct workshops, cultural parades, dancing attractions, competitions, talk show and the bazaar," he said.

Activities held on the results of cooperation with Magnificent 9 Production Hareem Queen Belly Dance Jakarta that will bring the master belly dance world, Jiliana from the United States.

"Jiliana will be a judge in the belly dance competition, as well as an instructor in one workshop. Jiliana addition also will feature theatrical performances and belly dance the colossal first time in Indonesia," said Director of Production's Magnificent 9.

According to Felix, belly dance maestro Indonesia, Suzanna Hutabarat-Tibble of Hareem Queen of Belly Dance will also be present. Suzanna became general chairman of the festival activities that belly dancing originated from the Middle East.

Participants from 15 countries have expressed support and have signed up. Country of origin of participants in addition to Indonesia include Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam, South Africa, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, India, Thailand, China and South Korea.
